Please be aware that tourist visitors will also be sharing the space in the Cathedral – wandering around to see what is going on. Please can we offer them smiles and conversations as we meet them? It’s our mission field and we’re very good at engaging in kindly chat. Please be aware that the Newcastle Pride is also in town. The Pride activities are all at the north end of town away from the Cathedral. It is always a good-humoured event – cheerful and colourful, but the town will be more crowded than usual, so allow a little extra time for travel. When we booked our date a year ago Newcastle Pride was expected to be on their usual weekend but they later changed it to avoid the world cup events. Do enjoy the extra dimension to your day. Looking forward to seeing on the day, Anne M |
